Hyde Park Road construction update:
While they still can, construction crews will be concentrating on Sarnia Road and the CP bridge overpass.  They will probably halt construction over the winter months and begin again in the Spring, next year.  We are not anticipating roadwork in front of the shop until June/July.  Access to our plaza will be maintained; and a special shop feature will also be maintained during construction - more to come on that in 2015.  Once they begin at this end of Hyde Park Road, construction will move swiftly - these fellas know what they are doing.  I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly they did the roadwork at the south end. 

This morning, I left early to run an errand. Didn't happen. Got stuck in barely moving traffic on Hyde Park Road going North. I would advise anyone coming to the shop today to take Wonderland to Gainsborough to Hyde Park, or come from Fanshawe Rd. What should have taken me 10 mins to reach the shop from home, took 35 mins. Must be working on the rail overpass and/or Sarnia Rd.

New goodies arriving this week....

I would highly recommend obtaining these new magazines if you like to decorate, craft, cook/bake for the holidays.  A few customers and I were pouring over these mags and ooohhing and aaahhing, lightbulbs going off - yes we can make those, and those and those and then eat that or that and/or that.  (Food is an important equation in the quilting scheme of things.) 



The much-awaited shipment of Steam-a-Seam has just come in the door.  Steam-a-Seam 2 and Lite Steam-a-Seam 2 are available in Value-Paks and by the metre.  I have a big smile on my face.  Just love this product!



 

The shop is closed for Remembrance Day
