These pavers mean business!  The first pass is done and now they're on the second pass.  If you're coming to the shop, try it after 3pm today; this morning was really busy at the shop and we're glad all this work is not deterring loyals from coming to see us.
This is exciting - next up is creating the northbound lane and paving that.  It's moving along quite nicely.
OK folks - both entrances are now open.  Looks like they're going to do a marathon paving session today.
Flash News!  Pavers have just paved across the south entrance.  They're looking at the plaza shops, probably trying to determine whether they will block the north entrance as well.  Not to worry, we have an alternative route which will be posted in the event they do block off both entrances.  At any rate, you can drive over the new asphalt after a short time.  Will keep you posted as it happens.

A customer came in and showed us the Spring tablerunner she made.  Isn't it sweet?  Very Springy....

Just loaded a bunch of stuff on the What's New @ Cornerstone page.  Whew!  ...and so much more is on the way...

Wednesday, 8 April 2015

We're starting to build up our stencil collection.  Six more have been added this week.  Click on What's New @ Cornerstone.
We are adding a new feature to this site.  Road Widening Construction Updates is now a feature on the right hand side of this page.  Whenever significant changes occur, a new posting will be made.  This way, you will know what to expect before venturing out to see us.  As stated before, the best way to avoid most of the construction area between Oxford and the shop is to take the Gainsborough or Fanshawe Road routes.  We really appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of change and improvement.

New blenders and prints came in today.  More on the way....

APRIL 19th! From 2-4pm at the Olde Towne Hall, the Ailsa Craig Festival of Quilts is hosting a presentation by Anne Simon, Professor at Western. History, culture, cuisine of France. A great opportunity to learn more about this year's featured country. And it's Free!

Looks like construction crews are getting the 4th lane ready, in front of our plaza. Entry to the plaza is best made at the north entrance, near Porcino's Restaurant.

Monday, 6 April 2015

There are a couple of spots open for our Nested Gems class coming up on Saturday.  It's jelly roll friendly.  Call to reserve your space.

Now that road widening construction is starting up again for the end of Phase I and beginning of Phase II (our neck of the woods), I will keep you informed of the progress and traffic flow. Overall, to avoid most of the construction area (all traffic both ways will be maintained between Oxford and Fanshawe), approaching us by Gainesborough Road or Fanshawe Road will be easier. All businesses on Hyde Park Road will have access so you can still drop by to see everyone. Just love to see your smiling faces.

Thursday, 2 April 2015

Remembering the reason for this season, and wishing everyone a wonderful Easter weekend. The shop will be closed for Good Friday and Saturday, and will re-open as usual next Tuesday, April 7th.
Construction crews have torn up the lawn in front of our plaza (probably for water/sewer work) but don't let that put you off coming to see us.  Entry to the plaza is open.  Construction sale today - 15% off your purchases.

Exciting news coming soon.....
