The shop telephone number has now been forwarded to my cell phone so you can reach me now. If you get voicemail, I may be driving or on the phone with someone or .......leave a message and I'll get back to you.

Update: We should be able to start recovery of shop items some time within the next week or two. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, survived that ordeal. I'm hoping at least one sewing machine made it intact - I miss the humming that emanates from them as I work on a quilt project. Best music to the ears.

Update: Still waiting for the Fire Marshall to finalize his report and release the building to the tenants for recovery. Had hoped the telephone would have been adjusted by now but service provider is slow to act. Email is active. Life is certainly interesting.
Here's a trip down memory lane - our colour class with Heather Stewart.

Update: Our email address will continue to be active: cornerstonequilts@execulink.com. The shop telephone number, (519) 518-0110 will also be active, as of Thursday, July 7th. There were a few individual orders still outstanding and I am making every effort to fill those as soon as possible. If there is anything you would like to order, we can do that for you, with the exception of fabric at the moment. Thank you for hanging in there with us.

Update: Was able to get up close to check out the damage from the outside looking in. Cleanup/demolition guys took out what was standing yesterday so I doubt there will be a fire sale. Never saw anything like this in my life. Meeting with insurance people tomorrow morning. A lot of decisions need to be made, not just by me but by all the shop owners and the plaza landlord. My heart goes out to all of them and they are in my prayers. Thank you all for your kind words of support and concern. It has lifted my spirits.

As many of you may know by now, the shop was destroyed by fire last night. 12 other business in the plaza also were destroyed. Obviously, we will not be able to participate in the Row by Row Shop Hop this year. Not sure at this time what we will do - hoping some things may be salvaged. Will post more as I know more. Hope everyone has a happy Canada Day. Mine will be a quiet one.
